Trade Deficit

I've been looking around on the Internet and I find is amazing at the huge gap in trade deficits with other countries. I have noticed for quite awhile when you go into a store and hardly anything on the shelves are made in America. What's up with that?

Another thing that does not make sense to me is that when you do find something to buy that is American made it costs quite a bit more on average than it's Chinese, Japanese, and Taiwanese counter parts? What is up with that?

Or when we do buy say, an American automobile, that automobile is probably 85% made in in other countries and maybe assembled here? Most of the dash pads are made in Mexico, most of the engines are, Toyota, Mazda, or Mitsubishi. GM, Ford, and Chrysler respectively. Much of the so called American Iron of Harley Davidson is made by foreign countries. The shocks and front ends are Shoei, the Carbs are Keihn. The brakes are made overseas. How can you say something is American made when a good part of it is made overseas?

One word comes to mind, sacrilege.

One of the observations I have made over the past few years, is that we seem to be importing poverty into this country. Immigration is a big part of that problem. I was looking for jobs in the construction area not long ago and noticed what I did 15-20 years ago for $12-$15 dollars an hour, I am lucking to see advertised for $8-10 dollars an hour. The same for the transportation industry, what I could do for $1,500 a week, I would be lucky to do the same for $900 a week. Much of it has to do with Illegals coming into this country and working for pennies on the dollar most Americans would laugh at.

Why is it, when I call tech support for a gadget I purchased, and I talk to somebody half way around the world in India? At least they could do is give them better English lessons to tame down the thick accent so I can understand these people? When my wife worked at a local hospital, the same thing, you had problems with the Intra net tech support is in India.

Go try to find a leather coat made in America, most of them are made in Pakistan, India, or some kind of place with stan attached to the name.

Wal-Mart can go pound salt for all I care with all their Chinese made crap on the shelves, along with the way they have been known to treat employees. I want American made products made by Americans. What am I supposed to do with my $600 rebate that I am going to get from Uncle Sam? Stimulate the economy? Whose economy might that be? Japan, China, Pakistan, Canada, Mexico, or Taiwan? I do not really think it is going to simulate our economy all that much, unless we buy American products.

I see a bunch of different factors that add into this equation. How much of it is affected by the union wages? How much of the trade deficit and our economy is affected by the tax structure, EPA regulations, OSHA regulations, product liability. What kind of taxes and tariffs are we putting on imports? Is it really the corporations fault for having to go overseas to be competitive on the global market we live in now?

What happens when a corporation cuts all the corners they can and still cannot produce a product here, for the same price it can be done in China? A no brainer for me, to keep profit margins where they need to be, to keep share holders happy, make my stock worth more, expand profit margins. You bet I would move my company overseas if I didn't have all the regulations, and I could cut my productions costs to almost nothing.

Why would I buy recycled products that usually cost more to manufacture and cost more than a product made from scratch?

Why would I by a product here in the U.S. like a $25 dollar T-shirt when I can buy the same thing made in China for $10 bucks?

Why are people going to buy our products over their own when the quality is basically the same and their products are cheaper? Whether or not taxes and tariffs apply.

Another big problem our society has is that we have become a throw away society. Buy something cheap it lasts a couple of years, throw it away when it breaks, and buy a new one. Drive a car a couple of years, don't like the color anymore, or the new model has a new gadget you want, the old car away, get a new one.

My Grandfather might have owned 3 cars his entire life. He bought them new, took care of them, owned them for 20 plus years. The last one my Grandparents bought was a 1974 Ford Torino Elite. My Grandmother traded it in 1986 for a T-Bird because the Elite was too big.

Now people on average lease a vehicle for 2 years and change them out like they do their underwear; because they don't like the color anymore, or it is time for a tune up. My car don't have blue tooth, through it away and get this year’s model that has blue tooth.

What's up with these SUV's and crossovers? Just can't go out and buy a 4x4 anymore to go stomp around in the woods anymore. We got to have DVD players, power everything, little TV screens in the back of the headrests, or pop down out of the roof. Climate controlled sectors for each individual that may ride in the vehicle.

What happened to Broncos, Blazers and Ram Chargers? Nothing is sacred anymore! When I want a truck, I want a Truck! Roll down windows, a vinyl bench seat, and rubber floor mats, something I can get all muddy, open up both doors and blast out with a pressure washer. Let's see you do that with your Escalade Mr. Yuppie!

Where's Jerry Springer?

I can't believe what is going on in this election cycle. Hillary thinks she is Rocky, and Obama thinks he's righteous. Where is Jerry Springer when we need him? The way the Democratic Party is acting they just might as well go to Jerry Springer's set and put on the boxing gloves, have an oil wrestling match. Of course we would have to have a best fall of 2 out of 3. Better yet, a cage match between Hillary and Obama, no holds barred.

Just don't have WWE set up the pyro show!

To tell you the truth I think Hillary could take Barrack in a toe to toe throw down. We could have Bubba running around with his magic cigar container, waiving it like a magic wand for the women in the audience to expose their assets.

Break out the rubber sheets and Mazola we are going to have a party! I would do a pay for view to see that match up. I could see Ole' Hillary in her Dom outfit now riding Obama around like abused rodeo pony while Bubba dances on the pole. Chairs flying around the stage like confetti. WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!
Have Nancy Pelosi fly in on her broom while screeching, "I'll get you my little pretty! Ha Ha Ha!" Maybe Ted Kennedy could take Pelosi for a one way ride. He seems to be pretty good at those types of things. Harry Reid could ride shotgun. Does Teddy still have a Drivers License?

Might as well get the Raving Ranting Reverend on the show too while we are at it. So he can bash America some more. His appearance would have to be set up as a mystery guest or something, with all the death threats Rev. Wrong has had lately, we wouldn't want him to cancel this appearance.

Now I'm going to have to see a cow get slaughtered to get that vision out of my mind!

Clinton? McCarthy?

   Is somebody smoking crack here?

Bill Clinton likend to Joe McCarthy.

There is an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Clinton may be such an individual McCarthy would have set his sites on.LMAO!

I don't doubt the patriotism of Barrack Obama. From the past and current media attention and how the glass house has been shattered.

Barrack not wearing a lapel pin of the American Flag, not putting is hand over his heart and not singing the Natioanl Anthem, or reciting the pledge. Barracks Lame attempt to cover up his affilitation with Wright and his beliefs.

It looks pretty apparent to me that this is not the America Barrack wants lives in. He wants a socialized America right along with rest of the socialist democratic party. His actions also coincide his beliefs in the liberation theology. I don't think Barrack looks at it with the racial antics that Wright does. I think he want to include all the poor and impoverished people and pull them up with the use of liberating these people with the redistrubrution of wealth philosophies. Which is right inline with libaration theology.

Barrack, Hillary and the Democratic party are on a mission to turn this country into a socialist nation. They might not come right out and say it. They don't have to. Their actions speak for themselves. They want Universal Healthcare provided by the goverment, they want to attack, raise taxes on the rich, attack and raise taxes on corporations. Which also includes small businesses because most of the companies in this country are considered small business. I don't remeber the exact percentage but is up over 75 percent of corporations are small businesses. Most that we percieve as large corporations are considered small business in the government's eyes.

The Democratic Party wants to tell everyone how to live. Whether it is through the socialized government control progams or through regulating and taxing businesses or the plain old working folks.

The Democratic Party is on one mission. Socialism. It is nothing new, you can call it progressive, comprehensive, whatever the new phrase is this week. It is still socialism. They want total control over eveyone and redistribute wealth.

Is the Fat Lady Singing Yet

I have done a little homework over the past couple of days concerning all the flap about this liberation theology. Basically it started in the 50's and made it's way up through Central America and other countries where the seperation of poor and the rich were concerned. Some reference the roman catholic Church supported this at one point. It has transformed itself over the years into nothing but a socialist movement for the poor that demands distrubution of wealth. Socialism.

Seems like this became popular with the blacks and liberation theology sympathizers like Cone and others. Fair enough. Blacks need unity and support to gain civil rights. As this liberation theology transformed it took on the teachings of Marx and Trolsky and other socialists and communists. Which sucked in the poor and wanting to liberate them. Another little tidbit that also coincides and is almost in lockstep with organizations such as the Socialist Workers Party and the like. Working with big unions in the past like the Miners Union, and the Teamsters Union. It's all out there on the internet if you wantt to look it up. Most of the info I found, I posted in the Definition of a Democrat. That was just a taste of what I found.

Finding this information out has given me a new perception of the Democrat Party as a hole. Where is McCarthy when you need him? I think Anne Coulter could fill his shoes. In come people like Rev Wright, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton. and others. Speaking of Rev. Jackson does anyone remember his shady past with the Black Pathers? Now I am understanding where all this black liberation is coming from. People like Cones, Hopkins, Wright, Jackson, and Sharpton continue to exploit the necessity for the black community to liberate from the whites. This attitude has not change very much since 1968. Are these People still stuck in 1968? Why are they teaching the racial hatred shrouded as Christianity? I will have to agree somwhat with O'Reilly when he said some very heinous people have used these same tacics and propoganda in the past. Refering to Hitler and Stalin. These guys are falling right into the socialist hands fighting for all these programs and reparations from the governmet, expecting and demanding the government owes them a living. The Democratic Party keeps these people oppressed. the entitlement programs are not working, public education is not working. The lies the Democrats tell these people and making promises to them. I will give Wright one thing, Bill Clinton was riding dirty, still is, Hillary is riding dirty too.

Hence the need for Black Theology and the racist White Theology they just call Christianity. In walks Barrack Obama that is suppossed to be all about this and that trying to make himself out like the next John F. Kennedy. Bumping his gums about unity and bringing the country together. Speaking of the good sound judgment he has. Looks like he step right into a big ole' cow patty now. I have even read things where Martin Luther King brought about and promoted the liberation theology. He did it in a way that was diplomatic and was a purer form of what we see today with the likes of Wright.

For good reason, Dr. King focused on the good and  had a dream one day all people could stand together in harmony. A world without war, racism, class warfare. I often wonder if Dr. King is rolling over in his grave. His dream seems to have been twisted so far out of shape in this day age. He is often insulted by the people that claim to carry on his torch. I honestly believe if  Dr. King were alive today he would be ashamed and very unhappy at the condition of the world is in now, and the progress we have failed to make, to make his dream come true.

A lot of different people from all walks of life and religions supported Dr. King.  Does Rev. Wright forget about the Jewish people that died in in the south, that he has referred to as a gutter religion? Does Rev. Wright forget that if it wasn't for the Republicans civil rights may not have become a reality when it did? All this stuff must have been brewing or Obama wouldn't have ask Wright to uninvited himself when Barrack was announcing his run for the Whitehouse. I also find it odd the ranting reverend retired about a month before this story broke loose. Now Barrack is jumping around like a mexican jumping bean trying to explain himself. Something just ain't quite Kosher here all the way around.

Martin Luther King wanted to liberate black americans along with anyone that was poor, get them closer to God. Get the rich closer to God and convince them to get off their wealth and help their fellow man. I  cannot believe I am talking about Martin Luther King and  raving ranting Rev. Wright on the same page let alone talking about them in the same breath.

It really disturbs me to think Barrack Obama is on the same basic wavelength as reverend Wright. All his talk about the poor and racial disparities, bringing everyone together. His eloquent speeh was so full of holes the finest Swiss Cheese masters would be proud. We are looking at the truist form of a socialist. The same with Hillary Clinton, she is a socialist as well. The Kennedys' crawling  in bed with Barrack, the hard left backing and supporting Barrack. Reagan also found himself at sorts with the Democratic Party because of the elite in Hollywood and democratic leaders that promoted socialism and communism. The Democratic Party is a wolf dressed in sheeps clothing.
When are people going to wake up and smell the roses?

All of the Union leaders and the way the unions paint their pretty little picture and support the Democratic Party are all linked to in some form or fashion to the SWP. Black Liberation Theology takes it one step further and feeds racism. Why do you think the democrats want all these comprehensive progressive programs? Why do you think they are always going after the rich? It is all about distribution of wealth and complete govermental control over America. Why do you think they constanly attack the Constitution? Why do you think they want us to believe it is a living breathing document, that needs to be updated, become more progressive and comprehensive. To shape it into something that it was not intended to be. Socialism.

Why do you think conservative Christians are always under attack? Why do you think the secularists are screaming about getting rid of religion and prayer in school? Socialism. There is no Conservative Right Wing Conspiracy going on. It's called the Socialist Agenda.

As conservatives we need to stand up and fight the secular socialist agenda. We need to stand our ground, dig in, and say, We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore!

I can relate to how the blacks feel about Christianity and how they feel and justify wanting to have black values and a form of Christianity they can call their own. All of these values I have read over the past view days are the same values I have as a Christian. I've been to and heard similar sermons Reverend Wright has delivered. I have heard similar statements and racial comments like this. The important thing I saw and heard was in the context it was delivered in. Getting people to relate how they feel, and to move forward. Bringing up questions in peoples minds. Some jump, holler and scream saying this is racism, sometimes it is, more often than not, it isn't. It is geared toward what black people have to deal with everyday, what they are going to run into. From the sermons I have heard it was used to gives these people something to build strength on to get the through life, to continue to struggle, to do what they could to discourage ill feelings to the ignorant people they ran into that were racists. Be proud of who you are. Take care of your family and children. Live wholesome clean lives. Work a hard and develop good ethics. Get educated, get good jobs, make life better for you kids. Blacks have a hard enough time, they don't need Wrights' help making it any harder.

I'm not going to sit here and paint all black liberation theology is racist. It is not. I know better. The media has done a poor job on this issue in a lot of ways.

What brings me to talk about this is the segment I watched on the O'Reilly Factor and the Professor he had on tonight that pretty much said the same thing. Rev. Wright is on the very Radical end of the black liberation theological crowd.

As a Christian I do not think we need this seperation of white and black theology. We need to come together as Christians and just have theology. We need to ignore the Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons,  Jerimiah Wrights, and Farrakhans of the world.

Speaking of Al Sharpton I do have to give him some rythym here. I have seen a side of Rev. Sharpton over the past few days that I have never seen from him before. He has discussed and brought up some very good arguments concerning the racial divisions in this country, and explained how blacks feel and believe. He has done it on Fox News too. Where alot of people won't go and talk or interview because of the hardball questions. Barrack boycotted when the Black Caucas wanted to debate on Fox. If he can't stand the heat in the kitchen at Fox News, he surely is not ready to be the leader of the most powerful country in the world.

I don't care that Barrack is black, I don't care he is half white. It is his socialist politics I can't stand. You can call it progressive, you can call it comprehensive or liberal. Paint it any color you want. It still is going to be socialism. The same goes for Hillary, Pelosi, Reid, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, or just about anyone on the left. It is still socialism, chickens do not run with donkeys.

I cannot call Barrack Obama a racist like some have done. I haven't seen any evidence that Barrack is a racist. I think his reverend is a racist, I think Farrakhan is a racist. Barrack has stumbled and choked, he isn't the calm confident man we have seen in the past. I'm sure it is hard for him. At this point I will give Barrack the benefit of the doubt at the moment. He may want to collectively liberate blacks, minorities, and everyone that is poor.

If Obama even wants to gain any respect out of me, he needs to step up to the plate, get out of his comfort zone. Sit down and talk and interview with Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity. Sit down and talk to somebody like John Kasich. Better yet go sit down with the G-man one time. I bet the G-man would be the most gracious and intellectual out of the bunch. I think the G-man would be fair with him. He wouldn't hold back and throw any softballs at him either. Barrack wouldn't be able to spin it either. The G-man has travelled too many miles in the beltway and politics. What a beautiful sight that is. The G-man and Obama, come on in said the spider to the fly.

Typical White People

I bet the media is going to ride these three words into the ground like an abused rodeo pony. Poor Obama cannot seem to get the right combination of words together without bashing granny and the typical white person. The hole he dug himself into with the help of Reverend Wright, Barrack may be better off quitting while he is ahead on this subject.

His statement in reference to the typical white person did not offend me. I understood he was trying to explain the stereotypical stigmatisms people have with one another as far as race is concerned.

Now the cat is out of the bag screaming like a ban chi, how do you duct tape the little monster to put it back in the bag?

What do you think the onslaught would have been if Bush or Cheney had referred to somebody as a typical black person?

This is and has been a serious problem; racism is on both sides of the arena, black or white.

I know if I was running for public office, or planning my life to be a politician. I would do the best I could not to be associated with individuals like Rev. Wright that could cause damage to my political career.

I am also seeing a pattern with Obama that he has the ability to hold himself above the racist he attended church with, and apparently was ok with this for 20 years or the way he has used his grandmother. He does not blatantly say this, but he has pointed fingers and passed the blame onto everything but himself. In the same breath turn around and states he is the one that can be the great uniter, cross racial divides, and heal the nation. I do not buy this either.

Why hasn't Barrack apologized or humbled himself and admit he is wrong, and made some poor choices by following a man like Rev. Wright? I have yet to hear anything coming from Obama that relates to his accountability and responsibility. He shifts the blame to Reverend Wright, shifts the responsibility to granny, and shifts the responsibility to the nature of racism. Why doesn't he acknowledge himself in this situation? It just looks like me his is in some sort of celestial euphoria or something, claiming to have the judgment to lead America through and heal the racial problems.
I might have been born at night, but it wasn't lastnight.

All I am surer of is that Barrack Obama has aligned himself with the radical black liberation movement that pretty much supports socialism, hatred, and racism.

I am not buying into the pretty picture Obama is trying to paint.

One big important thing I have learned is that Barrack Obama is not ready to become the President of the United States. He has displayed poor judgment, has not had the ability to discredit the opposition he is confronted with. He has also demonstrated that because of his judgment and decisions which aligned himself with individuals like Rev. Wright. I do not think he is the one to tackle racial disparities either. The issues Barrack has said he opposes are not just little disagreements. I do not see how he can condone attending a church for 20 years, which preached racism, hatred for America, absurd suggestions that the government injected HIV into the people of color, and comparing it to genocide.

I do not think there is anything Barrack Obama can say or do at this point where I would even consider changing my mind about his judgment, or his ability to lead this country anywhere. He is too far left for me to consider to begin with. Just like Hillary. All I hear out the the Democratic Party is socialism. If you want socialism go to Canada, or some other country. Another thing I continually hear out of the left is hatred and discontent for America.
The champions of democracy, civil rights, and unity. Yea, right, go tell it to somebody that doesn't know any better.

Definition of a Democrat

Sounds like something HillBillary or Obama, or any other socialist, I mean Democrat or Progressive, Liberal, whatever they aare called this week would enjoy.

The Socialist Workers Party, or SWP, is a communist political party in the United States. It is well known on the U.S. Radical Left for having been the largest and most active promoter of Trotskyism in that country for about half of the 20th century. In the late 1980s, the SWP's supporters internationally reconstituted themselves in each country as under the name of the Communist League - renaming national sections of the USFI, or splitting from them, or being expelled. In 2003, the party sold its major headquarters building in New York City and moved to another location in Manhattan.

The SWP has continued the policies known as the "turn to industry" and a large majority of its members are industrial workers and trade union members. It places a considerable priority on participation in, and solidarity work to aid, strikes and other labor disputes. One of the SWP's main priorities is supporting Pathfinder Press, which publishes titles by SWP leaders (Cannon, Dobbs, Reed, Barnes) as well as by revolutionaries from Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky to Malcolm X and Ernesto "Che" Guevara.

The Socialist Workers Party, founded in 1938, traces its origins back to the former Communist League of America. The CLA had been founded in 1928 by members of the Communist Party USA expelled for supporting Russian Communist leader Leon Trotsky against Joseph Stalin. In 1934, the Communist League of America merged with the American Workers Party led by A.J. Muste, forming the U.S Workers Party. Many members of that organization, in turn, joined the Socialist Party of America in 1936. The Socialist Party soon expelled the former Workers Party members, along with others recruited to their Trotskyist politics.

Those expelled founded the Socialist Workers Party, combining the names of the Workers Party and the Socialist Party. The new party participated in founding the Fourth International.

The SWP's best known leader was James Patrick Cannon, a former member of the Industrial Workers of the World and former head of the International Labor Defense. Another prominent leader was Max Shachtman until a split between the two men in 1940.

In the United States, the largest strike wave in U.S. history - involving over five million workers - occurred with the end of the war and the wartime pledge made by many union leaders not to strike for the duration. (This did not mean there were not many strikes during wartime - there were many wildcat strikes during this period, as well as strikes officially called by the United Mine Workers of America. There were also protests by GIs demanding rapid demobilization after the end of the war, sometimes called the going-home movement). SWP participation in this upsurge led to a brief period of rapid growth for the SWP immediately after the war.

When was the Hyphenated American Born?

Where did the concept of being a hyphenated American originate? When did it become a necessity to define one self in this fashion? Why is there a need for an individual to define themselves as a hyphenated American? Are there Political Correctness or Identity Crisis issues in play? Is there an agenda to destroy America and what she was founded on? Do people honestly believe that America is supposed to be a democracy run by the mob rule mentality? Haven’t we learned from civilizations past that being a true democracy and having the mob rule mentality have been the downfall of these civilizations? Do people miss the word Republic in the Pledge of Allegiance? Has the Pledge of Allegiance become an antiquated document that needs to be brought up to date and revised like the Constitution and Bill of Rights?

When a founding father was asked; did you give us a Republic or a Democracy? He is quoted saying, “A Republic if you can keep it” Who was it? Are we headed down the path where the Rule of law is going by the wayside? Are we headed in the direction where this country is run on mob rule mentality?

I guess the Rule of Law only applies when it is convenient for the individual in question. Am I missing something here?

As far as my lineage, I do not want to be known as an English-Dutch-German-French-Irish-Native-American. Does one choose which country or cultural background they prefer to the others?

Does an individual choose which religion or faith to be a hyphenated American? Would I rather define my individuality as being a Catholic-American, Jewish-American, or Islamic-American?

Where would sexuality fit in? Do I want to define myself as a Homosexual or Lesbian –American? How about an S&M-American? Is it going to become a necessity to define your complete individuality by hyphenations? At some point is it going to be necessary for me to put on my résumé I am a Married-Conservative-Heterosexual-Caucasian-Christian-American?

What happened to the days where people just wanted to be plain old ordinary Americans? I remember talking to generations past that wanted to assimilate and become Americans. These people wanted to leave behind the oppression and discrimination they were faced with.

Often people would change their names to sound more American. My Great Grandfather and his parents were some of these people. Proud German Immigrants that wanted to pursue their American Dream to become Americans. It wasn’t because they were afraid of persecution or discrimination. It wasn’t due to being ashamed of being German, they wanted to be Americans because of the beacon of hope they saw America had to offer. To have the freedoms to practice their religion, practice free speech, and enjoy the freedom and right to live as they saw fit. They wanted future generations to prosper and have a better life than past generations had growing up.

I can only imagine what my Great Grandfather felt as a 9 year old boy seeing the Statue of Liberty, and coming into Ellis Island. Finally realizing his dream to become an American was about to come true.

Not once did I ever hear from my family or ancestors they wanted to be German-Americans. Being a Hyphenated American was not in the equation. They just wanted to be Americans.

I never heard any of my ancestors stating they wanted uni-sex bathrooms because they were transgender, foot washing stations because of religious beliefs, or demanding to have school work or proficiency tests be given in public schools and college campuses in German. They assimilated, learned English, and believed what this country was founded on. My family heritage is steeped heavily in the foundation and history of this country with people like Noah and Daniel Webster, Betsy Ross, and Boston Corbett. Another fascinating figure that is an important player not only with American History, but Chinese History as well was a missionary named Hunter Corbett. The school and hospital Hunter founded in China are still in operation today.
